Susi Q Presents An Evening With an Author
Featuring Novelist SUSAN STRAIGHT

The Susi Q will launch its new “Evening with an Author” series this March, and is delighted to announce that award-winning novelist Susan Straight, author of more than eight books published to world-wide acclaim, has agreed to speak at the inaugural event. Esteemed co-host of the podcast “Writers on Writing” and arts columnist Marrie Stone will host the event, bringing her deep knowledge of the literary world to bear on the conversation. Attendees will receive complimentary copies of Straight’s most recent book, “Mecca,” published last year by Farrar, Straus & Giroux and named one of the Best Ten Books of 2022 by both The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times.

“Mecca takes place in Coachella, Chino Hills, San Bernardino, Los Feliz, Hollywood, and Santa Ana - all of the people I know who are nurses, animal control officers, housekeepers, police officers, field workers, and parents are my inspirations.”

Enjoy refreshments and wine in the company of fellow book-lovers.

About Susan
