Shakespeare Reading Circle: "Much Ado About Nothing" ONLINE
Free
Tue, Apr 1, 2025, 4:00 PM PDT – Tue, Apr 29, 2025, 4:00 PM PDT

Note: This class is being offered (Zoom only).
Facilitated by Julia R. Lupton, Ph.D.
Much Ado About Nothing is one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies, thanks to the electricity between the sparring Beatrice and Benedick and the romantic subplot involving the slandering of young Hero and the gullibility of Claudio. For men returning from war, love represents a new battleground where wit is a weapon and trust is under fire. Join Julia Lupton, Distinguished Professor of English and Co-Director of the New Swan Shakespeare Center, for five sessions of reading and discussing the play, in preparation for New Swan’s 2025 summer season.
Limited to 25 participants.
