Holocaust Education Center of Orange County

Holocaust Education Center of Orange
Presented By: David Benton
The presentation will be a walk through of the tour that we give at our museum. The audience will watch a short documentary about the featured Holocaust survivor, Mel Mermelstein, who survived Auschwitz and after he was liberated he returned to the camps over 50 times throughout his lifetime and collected artifacts from these camps and turned them into art pieces. His life was turned into a movie, Never Forget, starring Leonard Nemoy. After the documentary, visitors will step into Mel's shoes and take a journey back in time. Then we end with a group discussion and tell a call to action story. Second generation survivor, David Benton, will share his family’s history after the museum discussion.
