Will AI Harm our Ability to think to Think, and Thoughts on where AI is Heading

Many people worry that using AI will make us less capable: that if we let machines think for us, our own skills will decline. Dan’s

research looks at this concern directly. In several studies, people used everyday AI tools to help with math problems, professional

writing, and interpreting legal texts. When later asked to complete similar tasks on their own, those who had used AI often performed

better than those who had not.

These findings suggest that AI does not simply replace thinking; under the right conditions, it can actually strengthen it.

Beyond these studies, Dan will also discuss where AI may be heading more broadly.

Limited Refund Policy: If a fee class is cancelled, you will automatically receive a full refund. There are no refunds if you miss a class or drop out.
